- Your walkway is under 600mm — sliding doors need zero swing space
- You want a clean, full-height modern look
- You prefer aluminium-framed glass or mirror panels
Choose hinged if…
- You want full access to the whole wardrobe at once
- You prefer shaker, fluted or solid timber styles
- Your room allows 500–600mm door swing
Durability note: soft-close hinged doors are easier to adjust years later; quality sliding rollers last just as long if you avoid bottom-rolling cheap tracks.
